Independant Robots...Free Willed

Unread post by LostOne »

Has anyone toyed with the idea that a robot might develop free will and decide that N.E.X.U.S. is totally crazy?

If it happens in a remote and uninteresting area, it might be able to develop enough free will to disable it's communication system and then N.E.X.U.S. wouldn't be able to possess it.

If it buddied up with a technojacker, it could be recharged by the technojacker using their unlimited powering of energy weapons.

I created some robot infiltrators that can become player characters. It's not that they developed free will, but the Eve personality programmed some to be protectors. You could really do the same with any of the Machine robots. Have Eve make a few protectors. The majority would be destroyed by the other Machine personalities, but a few could escape the slaughter.
