Of course my Hourglass Nebula sector has many items/places/people themed with hourglass and chrono-type icons. Even the interior of Port Eclipse has an artificial ley line running straight down the 90 stories from top to bottom, and each level has an opening which allows people to fly. As you climb in levels the opening gets smaller until the bottom part of an hourglass is formed, then opens up when it reaches the top.

Downside is, of course, if the vacuum's able to draw in any light that can affect the vampire...it's also pulling in the vampire as well...
Could a vaporous vampire survive a go-round in the accrestion disc of a black hole? Time dilation wouldn't affect the blood-sucker, but tidal forces could concievably tear the critter apart...

Yeah, that is true. BUt the white hole wouldn't be too good either. All of that light! The unlucky vampire would need Sunblock 1,000,000!

And on that note!

Solar Care! "We make the best sun blocking lotion in the 3 Galaxies! If your a creature of the night you'd want to use our Solar Blocker 10,000. Just ignore the skin altering lotion base. And no it's not that obvious, that neon blue looking individual is a vampire!"

I'm assuming 'penny in a rail gun'?
Non-standard ammo?

Oh some really obscure slang I REALLY want to know the origins of.
And in exchange, I offer a term I heard at my car garage this morning..."Permagrub"---The grease and grime regularly encountred around autoshops and heavy machinery that gets worked into your skin, fingernails, and joints, and just NEVER leaves...

The one I use in pretty much all my modern and rifts games (and it showed up in Phaseworld too) is:

APS, Inc

Armored Peace Systems.
Serenity, Security, and Peace through Superior Firepower.

At one point I actaully had a catalogue of stuff, but I lost that ages ago. Among them were a helicopter like frame with directional jets and an AI controlling jet direction, so I pilot just had to worry about where they were going and what they were shooting. It was called the Dragonfly, and it was based on a dragonfly's movements, without the vulnerability of rotors or wings. It had a Rifts equivallent of the gun in a A-10 Warthog and a similar mission profile. Biggest problem was it was expensive and complicated to service, unlike a warthog. Also had a railgun version of a sniper rifle firing needle flechettes, and auto tracking defense guns using the same technology. P-Beam tech was also a hallmark. When it went to Phaseworld, the Dragonfly became a high flying gravitic tank-killer, while retaining its speed and manueverability. And the rail guns became gravitic guns. They also had begun to delve into force field technology, but it was a new industry for them. It also had power armor, a robot, and a few other things, but nothing that hasn't been done in one form or another.

Sounds very cool! Do you feel like sharing your material? I think it would be cool to see some of your material. Maybe you could create a thread here in the Dimensional Area of the boards. Maybe others might feel up too posting theirs too.

Problem at this point is it is a matter of recreating it from scratch. My helicopter tank killer idea was from before South America 2 and the Neo-Apache (which is pretty much the idea I had, though I was basing mine off the Bell in Airwolf). I had them set in J-ville, a community set in the ruins of Jacksonville and the Naval Base there. To say the least it was before the worst of the "tech city in the wilderness" craze, but it was about the same time all the same. That and I had my own REF Crashlanding and then an "accident" that brought them to Phaseworld. All of this would have been cool if I had ever actually made any of it in game, but it was this out of game construct that was never fully realized and then capitalized on by others in different ways (the REEF stuff, and some others). Of course I'm kinda glad I never did, because Todd Yoho's Florida is much better in my opinion.

The company name is one I cycle through just about every world, because I think its an awesome name and slogan. :D

It sounds similiar to what I've done in the past. Ummm I have a contra grav version similiar to your idea. And it was inspired because of the Neo Apache too. I had my own Ikazuchi misfolded incident which brought in Robotech forces. And my little city has a connection to the Three Galaxies, it is still a few days away from Center at FTL travel.

Yeah the only games I got to run in florida was a CS spec force team running through the Robotech Strike Force Adventure with the "Rattoni" aliens replacing Zentraedi, and the bases in question being CS outposts. Oh, and the flowers in question were just alien fauna. Otherwise it was exactly the same. Supported off the CS Submersible Carrier off the west coast of Florida. Aside from ball parking stats to make them near the match for the CS bots, the Rattoni were undeveloped and unimaginative. I did have them use the ruins of disney as a basis, but not out of any Mouse love, more from the fact that Disney has its own infrastructure that I believe would survive the Rifts, and it allowed the aliens somewhere to rebuild their crashed ship.

And it wouldn't be terribly far from Nasa facilities either. Those could be useful.

Yeah, but those were/are right on the coast, and no one with any sense supposes those will be easy to reach. Besides, if I were hedging bets, all the military and equivalent bases and would be among the first to get looted. Disney's underground city? Not as much. Most folks who don't live in the area don't realize it's there. I used to know some fire fighters and utility workers (customers at my dad's shop when I lived in Central Florida).
