Or do I need mutants in Orbit to see those details?
I recommend Mutants In Orbit.
I'm told there might be material you can use in South America II, but I do not own that book myself.

Nope. Nothing on Archie-3, Cyberworks, KLS, Mindwerks, or any other characters and organizations from the period who survive into Rifts. Just NEMA and its ongoing struggles.

Yup.
There you go man, keep as cool as you can.

Actually the CE main book has some info on the moon base, not much and mostly flavor text.

Yeah, but one doesn't need three copies. Anybody need one?

How did you get three copies?
Maybe I can take one off your hands. How much?
Wanna bet a mod moves this topic to Classifieds?

The only info in that one is if you plan to introduce the Arkhons into your game.

of course you need three copies!
One for you, one for the left side of the table, and one for the right.
I have four copies since I keep one, and for that matter, a copy in reserve in case of accidents. Thanks to my local gaming stores used bin I have a minimum of two(average three)of all the Rifts books through CE. And I have a minimum of one copy of most of the rest of the PB catalog.
Needless to say, when we game it IS at my place cause I am not lugging that tonnage around.
Can I borrow your extra Rifts Collection?

It's also in need of a serious revision, they took the After the Bomb template and forced it onto Rifts.
The space community needs to be several million people in size and have lots more resources. Ours looked a lot like the space community out of Rendevous with Rama, which means cutting-edge technology far into the solar system but a sparse population, about half the size of the NGR once it's all added up.
It definitely needs an update. The information in the book is just so limited and we have a much better picture of our solar system. Just watch https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8dPuuaLjXtPAJr1ysd5yGIyiSFuh0mIL Crash Course Astronomy. The whole idea of using water as money(IOU's) because it would be rare is sort of out of date. Dwarf Planets in the belt like Eris and Ceres have enough water for all the orbital stations for centuries.
If you've seen the SciFy show The Expanse that is the direction an updated book should go.
jigahus wrote:It was sad that the space community decided to isolate themselves from Earth. Imagine if they contacted Earth they could have had orbital killer satellites beaming down rays of death and reestablished global communications. As much as I would love to see the good of people coming together I can see the space communities being terribly scared of something new and they don't know like the coming of the Rifts.
When this book first came out I made the mistake of giving my players too much access to near orbit, especially satellite coms and surveillance. It was probably one of the most unbalancing things I did so whatever they do with a rewrite, if it's ever done, it needs to be kept separate from Rifts Earth.
