+1 to spin?

Unread post by Necrite »

No matter what you may say about it, I like the Manhunter book. It's a little hard to use, but I've done some work with it, and have most stuff working decently. One thing that bugs me is the martial art learned by Kirn in the Martial Dragon O.C.C.: At several levels, the Kirn gains "+1 to spin". What does that mean? I've looked through every combat description in every book I own, and cannot find an explanation for it. Anybody?

Well, that's simple now isn't it?

I mean, if the book says that you get "+1 to Spin," then what it means is that you get a bonus of +1.
When you spin, you see.

Spin moves were a part of the Taido martial art form in N&SS

Indeed, they are. And that form includes the line "+1 to Spin" several times. I must assume that Kirndayv'Zhyf was created in an attempt to mimic Taido.

Thanks, Jeffar!

...a +1 to spin is a +2 to roll with punch/fall. This ability also adds to the wrestling skill (1 for 1). Cannot be used if the impact is an explosion. Normally, you should have a higher roll with punch/fall (spinning) than the normal roll ability, and no...the 2 do not stack.
