Rifts Father's Day

Unread post by themrgreendude »

Ok so for the past few weeks I have been going through my old rifts books, my two youngest daughters thought it would be nice to get dad some new books he doesn't have. So on father's day I was surprised to get:

Spirit West
Mystic Russia
Austrailia
Canada
Lemuria
Rifts Black Market

and they ordered coming soon:

Warlords of Russia
Juicer Uprising
Vampires Sourcebook.

Yup that made my father's day....

Welcome to the boards!

You have apparently raised your daughters right! :)

Nice it's hard for me to get stuff like this from my family for special occasions. Unless they can walk in a store and buy it, I can pretty much guarantee I won't be getting it.

Your daughters must consider you Best Dad ever.
You must have told them some INCREDIBLE bedtime stories. :D

My little munchkins (almost 11 and 5) have bought me dice for Rifts, would buy me books as well but the only ones my local shop carries are used ones that I already own.

Luckily for me my oldest one actually wanted to play Rifts with me and the wife so I made up a campaign for just the 3 of us and toned down on the violence.

Some parents humiliate their kids by going out in public wearing undersized T-shirts from old rock bands....
You got a black CS 'death's head' tee? :D :P

I've got a list of palladium books in my amazon wishlist. So whenever I make an amazon purchase, I scan that to see what I can pick up for under $3 (plus shipping, of course). So even though my "official" father's day gift was a telescoping space pen to replace the beat up bullet space pen I've carried for the last decade, Rifts Mercenaries arrived as part of the shipment.

I don't care about canon answers. I'm interested in good, well-reasoned answers and, perhaps, a short discussion of how that answer is supported or contradicted by canon.

If I don't provide a book and page number, then don't assume that I'm describing canon. I'll tell you if I'm describing canon.

That will do it. Combine it with a rocker wig. Watch them try to deny any relationship to you when you're out in public. :D
