My Open House Wishlist

Unread post by rat_bastard »

OK, heres what I wanna get in the way of books and stuff when I arrive at the open House:

#1 A copy of the cleaned up RUE, I'm starting a new game this sunday and another main book would be very useful.

#2 1, maybe 2 copies of Machinations of Doom one to get signed and never touched and one to destroy. I think Perez is without a doubt the best Palladium artist and I love his work, though I think Apollo is catching up as he works on his style. (that sketch of Simvan is great man.)

#3 the updated FoM, I have a beat up copy of the old version but it belongs to a player and he's grubby about it. Also I find the Dweomer flavor-text to be very useful.

#4 A copy of free Quebec, mine was destroyed and I loved that book.

#5 this may come as a surprise, but I don't actually have a presentable copy of Rifter 9 1/2, and I really want Kevin, Apollo, Branden and "Penelope" to sign a copy. - ooh Wayne too.

I plan on thumbing through a copy of Library of Bletherad, I understand its full of rune weapons and I am looking for more hard precedents for rune bows besides pantheons of the megaverse.

I also don't have copies of rifter #25 and #8, both would complete my collection nicely if anyone has a spare they'd like to be relived of.. For a reasonable price of course.

Also need two of Jason Richard's "We are all Jason Richards." shirts, one large one extra large, obviously the man needs money if he's so desperate as to try to sell those shirts. :P

the stamps kinda interest me, but until there is a rifts Coffee mug I'm not too thrilled at the misc palladium swag.

What the heck? I don't need the money. I'm doing it because people asked me to. I'm not even planning on making any money on the deal.

If you're worried about charity, give to Habitiat or the Red Cross, not lil' old me.

I know you were kidding... just wanted to make that clear.

SB 1, revised.

Machinations of Doom... hopefully.

As much artwork as I can afford.

See, I'm easy to shop for.

Awww, isn't that great?

He is so classy as to be humble about his need for cash.

Everyone should buy three.

A copy of D-Bees and MoD.

Several books to get signed (including an old black-cover PFRPG and a replacement for my damaged "Best Of" Rifter).

Character Art by various artists.

Uncut covers if they are back this year.

And hopefully some other Palladium memorabilia.

Finally, an excellent time meeting fellow board members and hanging out with Kevin & Co. :)

(Oh, yeah, and actually finishing my game this time.) :-P

There is one other thing, but I prefer that to be a surprise to certain members of the boards... if I can pull it off. :D

Thanks for mentioning that. I hadn't even thought about it, but I'll make sure I bring a fabric pen.

Chello!

My wish list is sorta small:

Machinations and D-bees. Look around and see what "goodies" there are. I don't feel like lugging a bunch of stuff around and on the flight home. Hmmm...wonder if I could pay for shipping there.....?

I think I had 23 titles in my backpack last year, which included my best friends's Rift's Ultimate Gold and another persons RUE for signatures.

So, it's way do-able. Greyaxe is a pretty big dude.

Yeah, I need to make it a point to chat with him for more than a couple of minutes this year. He's one of the many people I regret not getting to hang around with last year. :-(

Oh, and for all of you that are looking to meet some more board people and whatnot, I'll mention again my open invitation to find me and my crew and say hello, hang out, swap war-stories, etc. They're all good people, so no worries about pre-judgements, jerkish comments, etc. (not that I would expect that from 99% of the people on these boards, but it never hurts to give reassurance).

I want everyone to feel as welcome this year as people did last year, and I know that it can be a little intimidating walking into a large gathering not knowing anyone. So, seek us out and you'll find people you can hang out with at least while you get your bearings. :)

Honestly I'll be happy if I can speak to Kevin, his game is going to be hella Packed. My regular GM played in his last game and said it was lots of fun.

IIRC, he's running 2-4 games this year with slightly smaller numbers. Hopefully, most people there will get a chance to play under "The Great One". :)
