Nice list, theirs even a few skills listed I don’t have listed in my skill list.

Communications skills:
ECM and radio scramblers both are really the same skill see Coalition War Campaign
Radio Satellite relay:
Radio Deep Space Communications:
Morse code (a more in-depth skill then from what's learned from Radio basic)
Radio Performance: (Minmai and Lancer had/should have this skill

Military Skills you should add
Demolitions: Nuclear
Military Strategy and Tactics
Sniper skill should apply to any Aimed called shots, not just sniper rifles since an M-16 with iron sights can be used to take a head off at 500 meters (yes a hard shot but not impossible).

You could probably add these physical skills:
Aerobics:
Amateur/Pro Sports:
Kick Boxing:
Advanced Climbing (Mountaineering):
Oxygen Conservation:
Forced March:

Some pilot related skills that contrast the difference between pilots who operate in different environments:
Offensive driving
Air to Air combat
Air to ground Combat
Space combat

Here is a much better and more realistic listing of modern WP's
Artillery (a fun skill for Destriod and VHT pilots to have)
Automatic/Bolt Rifle (there is not much difference between an auto rifle and bolt action)
Black Powder Fire Arms:
Power Armor Weapon Systems (replaces Cyclone weapon systems since the ASC and RDF both have/had Power Armors
Energy Pistol:
Energy Rifle:
Flamethrower:
Gallant (you could ditch this skill and just use EP and ER)
Grenade Launcher:
Grenade Throwing:
Handguns (covers both revolvers and auto pistols):
Harpoon Gun:
Machinegun:
Rocket Launcher:
Shotgun:
Submachine gun (you could add this to auto/bolt action rifle too if you wanted)
Vehicle-Mounted Weapons:

The Rifts game master guide, RUE and N&SS, all have other skills not listed that have a place in Robotech too.

While they are different weapons, all it takes is some familiarization to learn the differences between how a revolver and automatic work. The only real difference is loading the weapons.

Learning to compensate after firing every round is something you have to do for each and every type of handgun (or firearm for that matter). Case in point a DSS agent let me fire his Sig226 at the range once and the trigger pull between the Sig225 and Beretta M-92F are vastly different, but after 6 or 7 rounds I got the hang of how a Sig226 differed from the Berretta. Same thing when I used an ATF agent Glock.

That and if you open up RUE or BTS 2nd edition you’ll find that handguns and auto pistol have been replaced by “handguns”.

military strategy and tactics what book is that in?

also I was wondering if anyone has created a list of penalties for mecha repair and construction. the only one I see is listed under the BME O.C.C. but I kinda wanted one that was a bit more detailed and could be easily converted for use in RIFTS.

I am STILL looking for that one O.C.C. that was on Robotech Thunderstrike website. I'm hoping one of you guys might have it saved on your harddrive or something.

For the most part if the character using the skill succeeds they get an insight on the weak point an enemy has in there defensive/assault line.

There is a skill in RUE labeled “Naval tactics” which can be expanded to include ALL military tactics.

Rifter #33 has a comprehensive set of rules for repairing and arming aircraft in Rifts, which can easily be applied to mecha.

I have a Para-rescue Jumper MOS that is the closest thing, after I searched and searched for the Thunderstrike website, I made an MOS up.

Thuderstrike had a lot of stuff pertaining to the rescue of downed personnel, stuff I’d like to see too if anybody has it...

I do not recall where I downloaded it, but I do remember having saved on Floppy Disk a "Resuce Jumper OCC" that went into the "Aerospace Rescue & Recovery Service". Is that what you guys are looking for?

"Lancer's Rockers" also had some new skills (Play Musical Insturment and Basic Cyclone Mechanics IIRC)

That is the OCC the thread author is looking for.

I simply went ahead and made an MOS thae is rouhgly the same thing as the "Resuce Jumper OCC".

Oh concerning the Boxing Skill as you noticed I made Boxing into a specific HtH skill. I never liked that fact that just because you knew boxing you had one extra action/attack.

If so Kung Fu Master Sylvester would have an extra hit against Kung Fu Master Boo Boo only because he happen to learn some boxing when he was a kid or whatever.

ideas?
