"On a ley line"

"On a ley line"

So, I know it is probably in the main book or the UE, but what is the distance from a ley line to be counted as "on a ley line?" Is it like a road and you have to be literally ON IT, like the ley line walker art, or is there some distance away that it still counts like 500 feet or something?

Increase the range and duration of a spell by 50% when on or within 2 miles/3 .2 km of a ley line.

Available PPE at Ley Lines...To access the energy the character must be standing in the ley line or at the nexus point. Remember, even the thinnest ley line will be at least a few hundred yards/meters wide; most are a mile (1.6 km) wide.

Also in the original Rifts book on page 163. The last paragraph on 163 talks about average width being a half mile.
