Juicer cartographer campaign: Need help with adventure ideas

I had a little inspiration from The Outer Worlds and was thinking about a campaign based around Juicer explorers. They get more done in less time, but they still have short lifespans and can only do so much work before expiring. Was thinking each of them could have a few skills in the physical sciences to make their exploration and discovering a little more intriguing. If you were going to have juicers heading out for adventure and trail-blazing, would you prefer Rifts Earth, or the 3 Galaxies? And what kind of adventures would be appropriate for them?

Juicer Explorers Adventure Idea 01:

Small city-state not under direct control of Coalition States or Federation of Magic is seeking map info. They wish to slowly grow their miniature kingdom and are looking for natural resources, not the least of which is farmable soil. They also need to know about nearby towns from other nations, so as to either avoid them or at least make a plan for negotiating land-rights. Its also important for them to learn about local Xiticix hives and other supernatural threats. They might even pay the Juicer squad to deal with such problems themselves, if its within their skills and firepower level.

Let the GM and players decides on names for the various groups.
Carolines Cartography has a nice ring to it. The city state can be New Hope, or Platos Republic, or the Council of 6, or something like that.

Idea 02:

One of the major empires of the 3 Galaxies is having trouble scouting and analyzing a bunch of new territory after a recent major political event. Lines have been redrawn, all of a sudden they need detailed scans of whole new systems. The Juicers have been tasked with surveying 30 moons orbiting a massive gas giant. Less than scrupulous representatives from third parties have also sent explorers to the same system, and may interfere with the teams research. Or, the Juicers could simply have encounters with alien plants and animals they've never seen before. Or they could find remnants of ancient civilizations. Perhaps some automated defenses still somehow operational after thousands of years, and not friendly to the PC's.
Adventures of all varieties could be had on any or all of the 30 moons, or in space between them.
