how big are the UEDF mecha bases?

Unread post by glitterboy2098 »

as the title says. how big are the included bases for the UEDF mecha? i want to say 40mm across, but i'm not sure.

i'm wondering, because i have some 38mm across hexagons i got from litko aero, and i was wondering if those would be close enough in size to use instead of circles.

Bases are 40mm for the standard bases and 50mm for the Glaug (and FPA) . If your not planning on tournament play, as long as your friends are ok with it, feel free to use them.

If you are planning on tournament play, you should keep them circular and as close to the required size as possible. I would say +/- 2mm.

But since tournament rules are still in discussion between the MAs and PB, this has not been nailed down yet.

What phaze said. They're close enough in size not to be a big deal. If you plan on tournemant play it may bite you down the road though.

The big question is: why would you want hexes?

one, because i actually prefer hexagons visually.
two, so the figures can be compatible with some of the other 6mm mecha games i play.

some pictures of the RTT UEDF mecha bases vs the 1.5inch MDF hexbases from Litko aero i use

from the looks of things, they are very very close.. close enough i can barely tell a difference.
