Natural 20's have never happened to often in my games for it to really be a problem. Not saying it doesn't happen, but it is rare for us. I also agree with the Michael Barakofsky, in dropping the "Natural" part of "Natural 17". A 17+ headshot is difficult enough with bonuses included. You get a 17 to hit iff you use the penalties from the Compendium of Contemporary weapon. The head, neck, eyes, ears, hands, feet a...

My advice would be 1) drop the natural 17 no bonus applies to hitting zombies in the head rule. Make fighting zombies more like regular combat so the players don't get the "why bother even trying" mind set. I tried the rules as written my 1st game session of DR and after about an hour my p...

Aside from the various mutations that RE has DR can make a good RE campaign setting, though the rules governing combat especially making head shots on the zombies do need adjusting. I wonder if the Palladium gang were smoking banana peels or something when they wrote those rules.

Sounds good so far, the random encounter tables also work fine given the random nature of a ZA setting. Will there be zeds, hostile humans, friendly humans or worse waiting around the next corner? You won't know until you look, and potentially get your face bit off.

EDIT to add: Something else... you don't have to destroy the head to take a zombie out of combat. Doing so kills it permanently.
