Re: Survival: More than just hoarding ammunition

I'm not getting the point about healing. Any contemporary survival game, with or without zombies, is going to deal with injury and getting help to some degree as a story element. The G.M. is crafting a story. Sure, the group could ride out to a group of zombies in their pickup, take careful aim wit...

Re: Survival: More than just hoarding ammunition

After reading the first page I noticed something, everyone is wanting to raid a grocerystore/supermarket for food and water. Me I would wait for my neighbor to go raid the store and then hit his house and take what he had stored to begin with, assuming that he wasnt a zombie to begin with, if he wen...

Re: questions about DR weapons

too bad a lead pipe does more damage than a aluminum bat.. Aren't aluminum bats actually hollow and rather thin metal? Daniel Stoker yeah but a aluminum bat is designed to swing, hit, and inflict force. a lead pipe is designed to move water. equal rights for aluminum bats! Back in my school days gr...

Re: Rifters #40 & 45 or DRRPG?

Well I got Rifter #40 and the DRRPG, and personally I have to say I like the DRRPG better. The lack of who, what, & why being answered leaves the whole system open to a lot of posibilities.

Wow, I am the first to post on a topic I didnt start, I think thats a first for me.

Re: The "I Got It!" Thread

I got mine on Christmas Eve, the mailman brought it to my door at like 7:35 pm way late for the mail in my area, even durring the holidays. I love the DR setting, 2 thumbs up, got an idea for a combo setting DR/NB/HU2 where there are those who got sick but didnt die only to find out that they will s...

The Hound Master and a lack of related skills

I just got DR like 2 weeks ago and I am waiting on my group to get together again to run my first campaign in it. For the most part I like the setting and think it can be a fun place to run in. Now heres my question: I noticed in the description of the Hound Master that the Elective or related skill...

Re: Need help with home made spacecraft.

... 2) How many weapon systems & weapons per system can a ship have by size of the ship? Oneof the upcoming books for Phase World will answer this dillema, but in the meantime, I can help you a bit. How big a ship are you curently creating? Well currently I dont have any ships in the line up, h...

Need help with home made spacecraft.

I have been trying on several different occasions to make my own spacecraft for the Phaseworld setting. I always have the same problems: 1) How to layout the MDC by Location? I have been just taking the total available MDC and placing what I want in each location so long as the total spent doesn't g...

Seriously the Coaltion is why I love Rifts. It is the last of humanity making one last stand against a world that has been corrupted and devaated by alien orces. I always looked at Coaltion like the Vietnamese staring down the Japanese, French then the U.S. This comparatlively small country up agai...

Ah, but you are wrong. The CS offers it's people an Education they just don't teach you to read. Life inside the super city is safe and no worries other then day to day life like always. The CS offers protection from the hordes of inhuman monsters that lurk teh shadows, The CS teaches you the value...

Actually I was basing the above example on something that really did happen to me in game, where my gunslinger was caught reading a letter from his employer. This CS grunt noticed me reading to the rest of my team, snuck away and when we got out of town we had to fight past a platoon of CS grunts. ...

Why do I like the CS? In character: It gives me target practice for my paired particle beam pistols. In Real Life: Why on Earth would I support a nazi fascist regiem like the CS. Very well I yeild my argument, only because its pointless to try to get CS sympathizers to see what the real deal is. On one last note however: For those of you who feel as though a CS controlled America will be all peaches and cream sometime down the road. Don't bet on it, the current emperor Prose...

The stats from what I read are nice, very fitting in the modern world of Rifts. Though in my personal opinion the jet itself at least the pic for it is ugly. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a 4, but then again I am biased to the F-14 as having a 10 for beauty and the F-4 following with a 9.8.

SO how do 400 year-old jet designs end up being seen across NA? That's one thing that's bugged me too. We do know that GAW started by raiding old armories and found Bradleys, Pattons, and similar vehicles (Merc). Also, they got their F-14s from Norfolk (Coalition Navy). It's only until Merc Ops. th...
