Mecha Journal update. Lots of new content!

So, in my free time (which I have allot of right now) I've been nugging away at my fan-site. Rather than slowly doing a bunch of super in-depth files, I've been focusing on getting stub files plus uRRG reprints up instead. So, at this time, I was wondering if I could get a bit of a peer review on th...

Thanks guys! And no need for any worries while I'm in Afghanistan. We are doing zero kinetic missions... I mean zero. The only ones really going out are the SF teams, and even they are relegated to pulling out cordon while the Afghans kick down doors. So, no fun for me on this one. :/ If anyone is i...

Robotech Illustrated is back!

Hello everyone, Sorry for being gone for such a long time. As you may have noticed, Robotech Illustrated went down some time ago. What with moving and settling into a new city, I lost track of it and forgot to renew. The good news is that I moved again, and now that I have some more time on my hands...

I agree, the GMU was/is pretty silly. But then again, I get the feeling it was designed to be more of a "play-set" in the eventual toy tie-ins for the Sentinels cartoon.

Well, the proportions are exactly the same, so to my eye it looks like a trace. But! I've traced many a shabby image from the OSM or some other source, and then modified it and turned it into something different myself. So, no blood, no foul.

How did my artwork end up in Expeditionary Force Marines?

Hey guys, long time no post, I know! So, I just received my copy of Robotech Expeditionary Force Marines, and I turn to page 126 and think: hmmmm... that looks familiar! It would appear that Walton did a trace job on my GMU artwork from the uRRG circa 1999! I'm not butt-hurt. Actually, I think it's ...

I'm thinking the Delta-V requirement would be significantly less. As long as the anti gravity system is installed, it would be able to get the ship to high altitude, low earth orbit, at which time there would no longer be enough of the Earth's gravitational field for the system to act against (assum...

Another thing to consider: Both ships has artificial gravity by the time they were attached to the SDF-1... not something you would need on a conventional surface ship. I just finished my Daedalus file, and I posit that the class was originally meant to be space capable. Why? Because we see ships of this class fighting in space in Robotech Episode Three.

Yep, but we don't have markings on our vehicles to say what base the vehicle is from.

It's like this: Both the US Army and the Australian Army have M1 tanks. But the way in which we mark said tanks is different.

Per the above, the point is that we know EXACTLY what the markings in that location are used for because the people who created this show quite thoughtfully documented it. US Armor Regiments

US Infantry Regiments

US Army Divisional Patches

Notably, the pick is a traditional symbol of the Army Corps of Engineers... but no luck here either.

I would hazard the guess that the symbol was for a newly constituted "Destroid Regiment".
