Well, after reading the 2nd ed closer i would agree, it does say they are all contact poisons so would need a saving throw of 14 or higher to save against, even the ash and soot.

Its less obvious in the second ed book but in the first ed book the magic powders are on a page with other poisons and drugs, and all the others mentions a saving throw, whereas the magic powders are like potions and do not mention a saving throw.

many many moons ago there were compilations of rpg information that were effectively open source rpg supplements (for ad&d), the necromancer one was called the tome of the damned or something like it. There were many different types and still can be found

Once the MBAD is up, it operates like a regular mind block and stops all powers. The MM knows this going in and can choose whether to take the ability.

I tend to go by the magic item cant get multiple buffs for the same thing, and it would be a leap attack rather than a jump kick, but only using legs.

In my games only men at arms get automatic parry, they are the ones that spent the time getting the training and muscle memory while the wizards were messing around with their books, so if a class has spell casting they do not have automatic parry (There are some exceptions of course)

It does sound like a good idea, mercs ran the gamut of skill level so id also let them choose to get bonuses in the rogue skills they can take instead if they preferred to go that way.
In second ed I put a lvl 5 limit on secondary skills and you had to take the skill a second time to continue past 5.

Magic is humancentric and matches ranges and effects for human size so my scrolls are human sized and the bigger and smaller races use different things depending on race, but are generally worse off using human sized magic.

My guess would be to differentiate them from tolkien elves, as they are tall like tolkien elves, rather than the midgets of the dnd world.

I do not believe a digital version exists so your best is a physical copy from ebay. There are two 1st ed monsters and animals versions, one with the minotaur with a sword (early version) or an axe (late version). I would recommend the one with the axe.

Not to mentions there's a lot of channels to tune into, also have to pick the followers to watch from the millions/billions across the megaverse, and dont have any extra special multi tasking skills and likely are doing things already.

It should be noted that smothering someone won't work, the magic works on "gases", so IMHO that means it negates the C02 buildup (you can't even fill their lungs with Helium) by some means (breaking down the C02?)
You could follow that logic and say they are impervious to oxygen now as well ...

For me psionics is its on class of magic, like warlocks or wizards. Its' an editing issue normally when they say vs magic, as there is no such thing, its spells, wards, circles or psionics.

For me i use the area of effect, but the magic is blocked by the amount of material that blocks the x-ray vision spell (i have a more comlplete list for this) and is raytraced from the the wards themselves.

If thats second ed, If i remember correctly a mind mage can erase all of the summoners memory permanently for 4 ME, also unlikely to happen, way easier for the summoner to have an accident. He can add new memories, but they are temporary, also friendly still doesnt mean the alchemist wont sell the ...

The summoning would work, but there is a chance that the evil summmoner has the bits required to resummon them, and most of the characters i played would never give a summoner anyones true name willingly, unless there was absolutely no other choice, as you are pretty much making them that summoners ...

As it doesn't give a weight limit for any extra items i would think it was more likely that it doesn't allow for it as all the other teleport types do, and i would be inclined to have the summoned appear and return with nothing. What it says about the payment tend to point towards it being paid ...

The way you turn up would be the way you return (so no leaving stuff or getting stuff), and I think the magic would return you before an ill effect hit you so if someone cast lightning bolt on you, you would return before the bolt hit you for example.

Yes you can capture people with them and probably suffocate them, especially at higher level.
I would encourage people to not take the power. The imbalance of what can deal with it would not be healthy for the party.
