Re: Whykin
Agreed. I think it is a perfect area to begin a campaign, as it has a big enough city for players to use as a base (Kingsdale), the presence of the CS on the area, plus kind of close to interesting areas like the Magic Zone or Pecos.
Re: Whykin
1. Check out: - Merc SB has a blurb on the Kingsdale/Whykin conflict (pg 37/38) - Merc Town SB, a few interesting tidbits there. - Whykin is mentioned in the Merc Ops SB as a buyer of a couple types of landmines from NG (reprinted in WB33). - In WB33, Whykinites (Whykinians? Whykons?) have settled ...
Whykin
Hi everyone. So I was doing inventory of my rpg books, and got to browse my Rifts books after a long time. Don't know why but I began to think about Whykin, and checking to see what information has been published about it, which is not much, and got a couple question nagging me: -Is the info on the ...

Re: Some rules questions
4 Dodge is typically used when you can not parry an attack. or when it has a higher chance of success. There are also melee weapons that can not be used to parry. (wilks laser knife/sword) Come to think of it, one of my players had a character with autododge, and would generally us THAT instead of ...

Re: What happened to the CS sympathizer towns in Minnesota?
Personal opinion, the towns were destroyed or abandoned during the Sorcerer's Revenge. Whoever survived the carnage probably fled to the Chi-Town Burbs hoping for help and security, and ended living on difficult conditions, fueling their hatred for Tolkeen. Surviving men and women joined the resurge...

I have No problem with people came up with Aliens gods. Aren't technically all gods aliens? Only in the sense that everything is an alien relative to very planet other than their own. There are some gods native to earth. In Spirit West you have She Who Walks the Circle who was an elevated Shaman an...

I forget what book its in, I can't see it with a quick glance, but I remember that in one of the Dimensional books it mentions that there are various planets ruled by 'entities' which include various Gods, Splugoth, Demon Lords and the like. IIRC there were at least 30, and most of them were in the...

Awesome Braden, thanks for sharing. The background info really helps flesh things out. There is the Japanese goddess who brought the Oni out of the dark ages. My idea was to use a godling or demigod as a kind of ambassador from the UWW that goes to make first contact and negotiations for the admission of new members in an unexplored sector of the galaxy (Anvil or Corkscrew, yet not decided). Just imagine the scene, the powerful and charismatic presence pr...

I would consider the Rifts the worse one. In Eclipse Phase humanity can not return to Earth, but has colonized other planets, and technically can keep expanding on outer space. If it has to be an space fighter, go for the Proctor. It is technically one, although it is more like a patrol ship. But as Taalism said, if you have the article of tracer ships, use it, it is a really good one. I have used a couple of times for the players' ship and for some of the npcs. Works great.

Well, there is a stealth system on the main book for the runners ship, but is only for sensors, no visual cloaking. Guardians of the Galaxy. To me is a clear example of what Phase World is: Space adventure with magic powers.
