They're not compatible. Animals attribute bonuses are different, some of the psionic powers and animal abilities work differently, BIO-E numbers differ and the combat rules are different.

Re: I wish AtB was more supported/popular
I don't mind that's it not supported these days. The old games are jewels that hold up remarkably well. I don't like a lot of the changes that were made in AtB v2 (added a lot of rules bloat) and I don't want to see 25 new "world books" for each part of the known world. Ruins the mystery, really ...

Shadow government is exactly what they are. Why do all the hard work of establishing a new nation-state (which might take you 100 years) when you can go and take over someone else's right now? They want the Coalition States for themselves, for both utilitarian and ideological reasons. The utility of ...

Start somewhere relatively open and lawless, like Merctown or Kingsdale, so that players can play anything and have the freedom to explore. Don't start in CS territory, they may get their asses kicked or feel frustrated at being hunted.

Unlikely given how overworked and understaffed Pal Books is currently. You need people to organize these things across a large geographic space and that's a full-time job. Also, games like D&D are extremely balanced in their character levels, equipment, spells, etc. and Rifts... is not, to put it ...
