I've also been a fan for awhile and have always been puzzled about the amount of direct content transfer between books.

Are there any official, or unofficial, interpretations about the type of materials created by these spells. For example, Create Wood can create both soft and hardwood, but is it pine and oak? The same question for Clay to Stone, etc.
