I just read through Scott Gibbons' first 'real' murmur, about business smalls, and I like what I read. Nicely written, explained the topic well, ended right where it needed to be. Makes me feel good about him joining the company, and I look forward to what he's going to say next.

Beyond the Supernatural is set up to be an adventure/Horror RPG. Where Call of Cthulhu (which is a fantastic game) isn't as good for high-action/combat style monster hunting, the BtS game is better set up for handling that. It might be interesting to put a few clues as to what sort of a creature attacked North at the beginning - maybe not say what it was, but give a brief description of what North remembers from the experience.

But that's a great framework for an agency to work with (or against) the PCs.

Some of the ideas for odd and interesting new ways to recharge powers in UA would be interesting to do in BtS as well. Generally it seems to me that Latent psychics, with their mixed up powers, might be a good fit - allow one to gain ISP back in exchange for hurting himself, or for taking a big risk...

As for the lack of equipment, I noticed that 'Systems Failure' seems to have a nice grab-bag of modern equipment in it - that would probably make an easy thing to carry along to refer to.

It is a darn shame about the magic, though.

Another possibility is some form of weak martial arts - if she's good at the dancing and the bending and all, she may have picked up a few dirty tricks to defend herself with as well. (I don't know what's available in BtS, though.)
