Foamcore Storage in Core Box?

Has anyone built a foamcore insert to store all the minis in the core box?

I'm thinking of taking a stab at it, but if anyone has already done so and has some advice, that would be awesome.

Lt Pebbles, There was someone who had converted the boxes to provide a storage solution. I believe you might find something on the Robotech RPG Tactics site. Effectively it was a series of pull out drawers

Other than that I backed Fireteam Zero and another backer has come up with a foamcore solution - go to Boardgame Geek and look for FTZ and the Forum comments. No instructions as yet but the pics give you a good idea of what is needed.

Hope this helps

Thanks, Wily. I'll search for that storage solution.

I have used packing egg-crate foam in my core box. I found it works fairly well.

That's a good suggestion.

I tried coming up with a foamcore plan that divides the box into a 6x6 grid that fits one mech per space, but there is not enough room for each mech plus the size of the foamcore walls. (I'd post a picture of what I mean, but no images allowed here.)

A 5x5 grid gives spaces that would probably work for most mechs, but then everything won't fit (and a few mechs are large enough to need a 1x2 space to themselves).

The ex built a bunch of foam core tray to fit in banker boxes that is used to sore all the rrt stuff. Unfortunately cshe has the plans for them on her PC and I have no way to get them to you. I could take pictures if you like? The core was to be used for !instead storage if they ever exist.
