Jesus Don't Want Me for a Sunbeam

Unread post by URLeader Hobbes »

Last game session the following occurred..

Me: So I am looking for a god to start worshiping.
Ian: I recommend Thor.
Me: Thor, really why?
Ian: Well Jesus said he was gonna get rid of all the wicked people. Thor said he'd get rid of all the ice giants.... I don't see any ice giants around here
Alex: Yeah and Jesus met his end being nailed to a cross, Thor carries a big hammer. I don't think it's a coincidence.
Me: Thor it is!

But even with all of what happened to him, he could not be defeated.

Well it's hard to go a 2nd round with Thor if your on the run. I mean Thor has been in movies, TV and really connected with people. Jesus has just show up in things like toast, weird water stains and funny enough... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/13/dog-butt-looks-like-jesus-photo_n_3436086.html

If this is going to turn into a comparative theological discussion, perhaps it should move to Sound Off.
Just saying
The rules are not a bludgeon with which to hammer a character into a game. They are a guide to how a group of friends can get together to weave a collective story that entertains everyone involved. We forget that at our peril.
