Thanks. If anything this game has resparked my interest in mecha games. I'm looking forward to receiving the finished product.

Since I'm not fluent in the rules yet it took a while to finish my little demo of the game. Hence why HtH dominated the game. The glaug is going to kick but in HtH. The pods will too when encountered in greater numbers. At least those are my first impressions of the game.

I can't wait to use my other 1/250 macross fighters for this game. Their close enough in scale for my purposes. I'm thinking of using my vf-0D as a dragon fighter.

Until I get to play more games I can't say. It kinda felt more like necromunda than reg 40k. I stumbled thru the rules. But as we all get used to it, it may not be a big deal. When we get more rules info I'm sure will make a difference.

I did find myself choosing the same strongest attacks every turn.

Not bad for only part of the rules. And nice pictures.

Bear in mind I didn't spread dam for the zents when they got hit, till Mike reminded me. This weekend I want to run another game. I have to admit I don't use the LOS raw. I ignore them. Instead I use the if the model can see it, it can shoot it. After trying out the rules in the preview, they felt counter intuitive.

I use if you can see half the mini but it's partially covered you add +1 to the DF. If you can see less than half the mini add +2 to its DF.

That makes more sense. But unless there's another rules set to streamline mass combat then I don't see myself playing huge games that several backers were talking about. So far it has a skirmish feel to it, that I like. But the HtH stuff does seem a bit much.

Hey Mike you mentioned a spaceship game on the ks comments. Is it macross/robo or spaceships in general? I've always liked the rules for Full Thrust. You should check out starship combat news. The forums there have spaceship enthusiasts like myself.

I'm on as cypherxv. Have you seen the studio bergstrom ships? Years ago I got some trek ships in 1/7000. I may have to sell them off since I really don't game as much as I used to. Although with the st mini game out I may end up keeping them. I just hate that the minis in that game are ridiculously out of scale. Jeez I'm starting to sound like BS. The backer not b@&$ s%#*.

I've been avoiding looking at more ships since my wallet can't handle it and I have 8 large fleets of unpainted fleet scale minis. I have Narns, EA, Mimabri, Centauri, Vorlon, Shadow and both Turning Point fleets. Likely over 1000 fleet scale minis.

I think I'm gonna practice a bit on my Rifts minis. Then if I'm cool with it I'll do some, or farm out the work if I am not.

I'm relearning on my 40k stuff. Right now I'm trying to go for that worn paint look. So when my RRT stuff arrives I can do the same for them. :) By the way never apply paint onto the model strait from the paint pot. Thin it out with water first. Another alternative you can do is use airbrush paints strait from the bottle on your brushes since there already thinned out for airbrush use.

These are on discount prices too. Hope this helps those of you new to mini wargaming/painting.

Just so you know those aren't the actual game minis. There from an old pencil sharpener set. I'm thinking selling them of for a grab bag. :bandit:

I'll try not to let my Macrossgasm get the best of me next time. Still this looks pretty epic.

:D That's ok, we are Macross fans also. I wander what the next series will be about, or when it will come out?

Welcome weiley31 :ok:

kryppt - nice pics. Other than no ground pounders to kick a$$ it was awesome... :D (I played a demo at Anime North last Mat in Toronto. Destroids versus Pods....I was pods. 4 on 12. I lost. Badly.)
I am very opinionated. Yes I rub people the wrong way but at the end of the day I just enjoy good hard discussion and will gladly walk away agreeing to not agree :D

In the movie, he went with them, in the TV series, he's still with everyone on the planet. So which one are you talking about?

Thought it had to with the movie. Now I can't remember where I heard it. It explains what happens to alto after he disappears. It supposed to come out next year. But take it with a grain of salt.
