IMO the VR-057 replaces the VR-017 Crusader from the UEEF Marine source book. The VR-042 (equipped with GR-97 instead of CADS) should really be the primary infantry Cyclone the UEEF uses.

From an RPG standpoint it makes sense for a GM to allow the inclusion of cybernetics to replace lost limbs. To not allow it would mean if a PC had his/her leg blown off the player would either have to play a cripple, or make a new character.

Not sure if this has been brought to Palladium's attention or not, but the Regult Attack Squadron has some issues regarding the cost of the squadron. The mecha should have been one basic unit, with the others as add-on Upgunned/Armored/EWAR packages. We wold have received the same information as we currently have in the book and have a few extra pages for additional artwork, or gear.

While I voted Macross saga I did so only because it is my most successful setting to run as a GM. I've been running a PbP Macross/Malcontent era game since early 2006.
I do like the new Gen era because it allows you to mix mecha from all eras when running a group on Earth during its occupation.
