I'm not worried about Wave 2 (easy to say since I did not back the KS campaign) minis. That damn rulebook needs to be rewritten. Too many issues where "intent" does not match RAW, and small, but critical things are not crystal clear.

I can see what you are saying in terms of linking paying to fire more weapons hence the need to pay to Dodge. I guess the only imbalance there would be the number of mecha that can fire a weapon for free under certain circumstances and there really being nothing that allows a free Dodge.

Interesting. I'll need to go back and look at the rules as I've been considering anything one unique mecha (or close formation group) fires as an "attack". I don't think anyone in our group has considered different weapons from the same mecha as a different attack.

Played the first game with the House Rule for Blast as per above and it went great. Blast took no more effort or time than any other Strike resolution and still proved to be deadly. We'll play 2 more games on Sunday using these rules to keep trying them to see if they work within the overall system....

Playing without Blast is our version of keeping the lights on a little bit longer!

To make it easier, for Blast weapons, I recommend just taking a trash can lid and dropping it on the table. Any mecha not covered by the lid or knocked down by the dropping of the lid survives. Repeat as necessary, up to 11 times, until Ammo has been consumed.

No kidding. Good to see an official clarification. Bad to see that the intent of the clarification is nothing like the RAW, IMO! Especially the scatter, which clearly talks about multiple attack dice. The Inescapable part seems very potent. I wonder if the above is how everyone played in testing?

I'm pretty sure I agree with ApocalypseZero except on this :

"Determine Scatter for any Miss Missile." It appears the rules say you only scatter if ALL the dice miss. So you could hit with 3 of 4, and the 4th miss would not result in a scatter template if that is the case.
